Notes

Cabora Bassa hydroelectric power plant is the largest in Southern Africa. Just 10 per cent of Cabora Bassa Dam electricity generation capacity would be sufficient for all Mozambique’s needs, but the major transmission lines built by the Portugueses serve South Africa and much of Mozambique is not connected to the dam’s supplies.
