Notes

Daniel Johnson Dam is the largest multiple-arch-and-buttress dam in the world. It is named after a former Québec Premier who made many contributions to the development of hydroelectricity.

The lake behind the dam was probably made 212 million years ago when a large meteor hit the Earth. When viewed from a satellite, this lake looks circular shaped and is the largest impact crater still preserved on the surface of the Earth.
